Matres Mundi, Anesvad Prize 2018 for health cooperation in Africa

Last October 29th, the president of Matres Mundi, Dr. Vicenç Cararach, collected at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao the Anesvad Prize 2018 for health cooperation in Africa, in its Persevere category, which rewards those entities that have more than 5 years working for health in Africa. In our case it was not 5 but 22 years. More than 15 countries, more than 60 rehabilitated, equipped maternity hospitals, we have not counted the trained health professionals, nor the number of mothers and children benefited by a long work that fills us with satisfaction. The award was given by the Mayor of Bilbao, Mr. Aburto, and in the act was also awarded to Ojos del Mundo in the Innovate category, to Afworo in the Undertake category, and to Julia Aguiar as an honorary prize to a lifetime dedicated to the health in Africa.
